Rec League Division Information

Shetland (T-Ball)
This division is comprised of players 6 and under learning the fundamentals of baseball all while having fun.  For the first 4 weeks of the season, an adjustable hitting “T” will be used for every at bat. No coach pitching allowed. This is to help give the players an idea of how the game works, make better swings, and keep play moving along. The batting order will be continuous until each player has batted. Each player will bat before their side retires, regardless of the number of outs made.

Pinto 7U & 8U
Players 8 years old or younger by Sep 1 the current year. Once registration closes and coaching staff is assigned, a draft will be held. This level is player pitch for the first 2 innings and then it is coach pitch for the remainder of the game.

Mustang 9U & 10U
Players 10 years old or younger by Sep 1 the current year.  Once registration closes and coaching staff is assigned, a draft will be held. This level is player pitch for the whole game with limits set by Tri County League Rules.

Bronco 11U & 12U
Players 12 years old or younger by Sep 1 the current year.  Once registration closes and coaching staff is assigned, a draft will be held. This level is player pitch for the whole game with limits set by Tri County League Rules.

Pony 13U, 14U,
Players 14 years old or younger by Sep 1 the current year.  Once registration closes and coaching staff is assigned, a draft will be held. This level is player pitch for the whole game with limits set by Tri County League Rules.

At registration each player will be charged $50 Raffle Ticket Fee and $50 Non- Volunteer Fee. Both of these fees can be earned back by selling your 10 - $5 raffle tickets and working one concession shift during the season.

2026 Spring Baseball

Registration price includes the $50 Volunteer Fee and $50 Raffle Ticket Fee. These fees will be paid for each child that registers.

**The $50 Volunteer Fee will be returned after working a 4-hour shift at Field Clean Up or the Concession Stand. **

**Team Volunteers (Coach, Assistant Coach, and Team Manager) will pay the $50 Volunteer Fee at registration, which will be returned when coaching staff is selected.

**Raffle Tickets can be sold, and you can keep the money to repay the added expense to you. **

Registration helps pay for the items below:

Umpires for all Home Games
Uniforms
Insurance
League Entrance Fee
Coaches Background Check
Field Maintenance (Ex: Line Chalk) and Equipment

Revenue generated through Raffle Tickets, Concession Stand Profits, Donations, and Sponsorships allow us to Improve Fields and offer better equipment. Please review this Sponsorship Letter and pass it along to anyone you know that would be interested in helping CYBL improve.

Necessary Equipment

Batting Helmets **The League will have a couple available for use if needed, but players should provide them when possible. **
Players must provide a glove.
Shoes with rubber cleats may be worn, but NO metal cleats are allowed. **Clean Gym Shoes are required when practicing inside. **
Players are encouraged to provide their own bat. **Bats MUST have a USA Certified stamp.**
Players must provide White Baseball Pants.

**Paying by Check/Cash** To avoid Credit Card Processing Fees being charged to the League or if so desired, payment can be made by Check or Cash. Please complete the registration process until payment is requested. Leave the registration in the cart and then Mail payment to Coaler Youth Baseball League PO Box 52, Coal City, IL 60416 OR deliver payment directly to a board member. The league will push the registration through once payment has been received, and you will receive an e-mail confirming payment completion.
